2014 GOA POSTER ART COMPETITION
CALLING ALL LOCAL ARTISTS:
Every year, a local artist creates a beautiful piece of
artwork that is used to advertise and promote Games of Acadiana, our annual fundraising event. This year, it
could be YOUR work! Artists are asked to submit up to three (3) sketches that
combine the unique Games of Acadiana experience with the mission of Miles
Perret Cancer Services. The chosen art will be used on promotional posters,
promotional postcards, in advertisements, on t-shirts, and displayed at the
event. Additionally, the artist will receive a $500 prize.
To enter this contest, we need the following:
A completed entry form
Sketch / drawing (up to 3) of your idea for
poster (30”x40” portrait orientation)
Description of submitted sketch and intended
2 or 3 colored copies of past work or link to
online portfolio so GOA Artwork Committee may see style

A design that includes:

After March 17th, the committee will review all
submissions and choose an artist and piece by March 31, 2014. A committee
representative will meet with artist to review sketch and ideas. The final
piece will need to be completed on a 30”x40” canvas by Monday, May 19, 2014.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
Entries must be received by 5pm, Monday, March 17, 2014.
Late entries will not be accepted. Submissions that are incomplete will be

of Miles Perret Cancer Services and will NOT be returned.
The chosen artwork and finished piece become the property of
Miles Perret Cancer Services.
In addition to receiving the $500 prize, the artist will
receive a commemorative poster, t-shirt, and tile.
