As I drove away from the "A Time to Rejoice" event Saturday night at Time Plaza, I couldn't get "Oh, What a Night" out of my head. (You know, "Oh, What a Night, late December back in 63'" Good thing you can't HEAR me singing it, but are you humming yet?)
"Oh, What a Night" .... because of Dwight Andrus and all of its employees who went so far above and beyond to create a old-fashioned, family-centered Christmas celebration. They put Martha Stewart to shame with the crafts, the carolers and the live nativity (with a REAL goat!) THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.
"Oh, What a Night" .... because of the whole cast of muppets (thanks to East Bayou Baptist Church) who ROCKED the tent with Christmas carols and had the kids up dancing --- and some of the adults too!
"Oh, What a Night" ... because the money raised from longtime supporters and new friends benefits Miles Perret Cancer Services and goes directly to families fighting cancer in Southwest Louisiana. For those of you who took part, I hope you feel the same way, "Oh, What a Night"!
