The Directors of LOBI are committed to helping the fight against cancer no matter the circumstances.
Proceeds of this exclusive bass fishing tournament are donated to Miles Perret to help continue the mission of Miles Perret by providing programs and services at no charge to local families facing a cancer diagnosis.
Acadiana Karate Kicks for Miles
Each year, Acadiana Karate hosts the official Kicks for Miles “Break-A-Thon” to raise money for Miles Perret. At the event, Acadiana Karate students break thousands of boards in front of a live audience using their signature karate kicks, chops, and jabs. Boards are pre-sold and sponsored by local businesses and community partners with all proceeds benefitting Miles Perret.
Since the event started in 2005, Acadiana Karate has raised more than $300,000 helping thousands of Acadiana cancer patients fight, survive and live with cancer.
Bill Blanchard Memorial Golf Tournament
The Bill Blanchard Memorial Golf Tournament is a bi-annual golf tournament focused on raising funds that make a direct impact in the lives of local families fighting cancer.
Bill’s sons along with family and friends plan an incredible tournament in honor of Bill who lost his battle to lung cancer. This tournament is to honors Bill’s spirit of giving and make a difference in the Acadiana Community.
