Teaching Kitchen

Our teaching kitchen is a dedicated demonstration space for nutrition education workshops designed to support individuals across the cancer continuum.

Led by nutrition professionals, these sessions provide evidence-based guidance on healthy eating through live cooking demonstrations. Participants will have the opportunity to observe preparation techniques and sample nutritious recipes, gaining practical knowledge to support their wellness journey.

Creating Connection

Community Workshops

At our Miles Perret, we’re dedicated to bringing people together through a variety of workshops and events that are both fun and educational. From engaging wellness workshops to our popular coffee events like Coffee & Culture, we create opportunities for connection, learning, and shared experiences.

Whether you’re here to expand your knowledge, meet new people, or simply enjoy a good conversation over coffee, our programs are designed to foster a welcoming community where everyone belongs.

Join us for Coffee and Culture, a 60-minute gathering where great conversations meet rich cultural experiences. Sip your favorite coffee or tea while exploring diverse topics, stories, art, and traditions from around Acadiana and the world. This welcoming space invites connection, curiosity, and community—perfect for anyone looking to broaden their horizons and enjoy meaningful dialogue in a cozy setting. Snacks will be provided.

Join us for Walk-n-Coffee, a fun way to get moving and connect with others. This 60-minute class includes a gentle, 30-minute walk to enjoy the outdoors and get your body moving, followed by a 30-minute coffee break where you can unwind, chat, and build community. It’s the perfect balance of exercise and connection, designed to refresh both body and spirit. All fitness levels are welcome!

Coffee and Connection is a community gathering created especially for cancer patients and survivors. This is a warm, welcoming space to share stories, find encouragement, and build meaningful connections over a comforting cup of coffee. This relaxed meetup offers a safe place to connect with others who understand your journey, fostering hope, friendship, and healing through shared experience. Snacks will be provided. Coffee and Connection replaces Walk-N-Coffee during the hotter months of the year.
